I think someone wanted to hear my comparison between my SU-1 to the DI-20 that I got, here you go. The difference is there and you can do it but may not be worth $600. Time will tell if it improves even more yet with an external clock if I go that route.

No one can answer that without knowing the DAC because it is entirely implementation dependant.

But almost all DAC only decode MQA over USB. The decode happens after USB chip.

So the answer is likely, "no".

Sadly the singxer won't accept a usb cable with 5v pin blocked.

Singxer SDA-2 does not work for me when USB is off, as stated in the instructions.

Am I the only one having difficulty soldering new C's onto the main board? (Using Silmic II 100V) It's almost as if the solder Singxer used has a melting point well above 300'C?

I managed, but it took quite some effort using a small temp controlled solder station.

Just wondering if anyone had a chance to compare the SU1 w/ SU2. I am undecided between SU2 and SU6 and if it turns out the SU2 is a significant improvement over the SU1 I will likely choose it vs SU6
to save some funds.

so i just picked up a used SU-1 Kitsune- made in 2018- model.. firmware V2.20.2018 version. Is there a firmware update?

I have an Audio Mirror Tubadour II, not the current III SE model but guessing it's similar..

in looking at the "switch settings" doc, kind of seems like only 7-10 are in question.. my reasoning there is, (possibly flawed) that i only play lossless FLAC files, from a network connected hard drive and don't intend to use DSD/ MQA ever.. and I'm just using Coax/ USBAB for now. Next DAC will have I2S tho.

It seems like Switch 1-7 are DSD focused.. can I assume the "OFF" position is good there?

THen about Switch 8-10?

I turned them all to OFF, put the unit into system, downstream of my Lumin U1 Mini (USB/AB from U1 to Kitsune and Coax to DAC), hit play and >> sound is coming out of the speakers.

What do, these switches do?

Can multiple outputs of the SU-1 be used at the same time? I have an SU-1 KTE DDR and I have I2S connected to my Holo Spring 3. I would like to run a long AES/EBU cable to another DAC on the other side of the room. Would this work? Can I keep both outputs connected at the same time without any problem?
