Hi, I am new to the forum.

I have recently purchased M5 and in my personal opinion the sound is far superior than my previous DAP, iBasso DX90.

I have encountered though a problem installing the USB Driver (M5 USB Driver - 2016-03-23) on Windows 10 (64bit).

Has anyone resolved that issue?

Kind regards

Welcome to the M5 club. We will update all our USB drivers in June, for the correct installing on Win10.

Thanks.

Stereo Crosstalk is channel sepration between left and right. It does significantly affect soundstage.

Here, for exemple, is the crosstalk measured on Oppo Ha-1:

Hey @VintageFlanker

Any progress on finding out the crosstalk numbers for the M5? I too am looking for this measurement but yet to find one. I've found makers who regularly publish their DAP crosstalk specs are iBasso, FiiO and of course A&K.

It looks to me the most direct way to get low crosstalk performance is to start stacking portable amp to your dap transport as most DAP line-outs have much higher crosstalk rejection than phones out. Now we're starting to look like a serious listener of the yesteryears having to select and connect individual components for the home sound system. Unless you want to drop all those cash for an A&K  one

question for Shanling - akm4490 comes with 5 (or 4) selectable filters, so why cant we choose between them with M5? will it be possible in future firmwares?

Yes this is possible by software development. Please keep an eye on our future FW update.

Thanks.

Pretty sure someone asked if M5 can handle 200GB mSD cards. I formatted mine to FAT32 in my trusty old FiiO X5, added some music, and the M5 read it just fine.

The M5 (and a couple pair of IEM) is off to my buddy Podster to play with for a bit. HeadFi care package on the way, my man. Looking forward to hearing how you like it!
