Shanling M3X Portable Player - Our smallest Android Player

Anyone got ghost touch issues when updated to 1.74? I suddenly got these after the update for a few days and now it refuses to work. I might need to figure out how to rollback to see if it's software related.
Ghosting issues would mean your display controller (hardware) is dying, not something that should be connected to software.

Are you using the gesture UI?

I find that the gesture UI is way over-sensitive and that it's all too easy to activate the "back" command when scrolling a page near the edges of the screen. Could this be the ghosting you speak of?

Once I sat down and compared the gesture UI of the M3X against a Google Pixel 7. The Pixel requires a near horizontal swipe (i.e. with very little vertical delta) from an edge in order to register the back command, but the M3X only takes into account the horizontal vector of the swipe. This means that a swipe from the top of the screen to the bottom of the screen (or vice-versa), can register as the back command if it has enough horizontal delta.

For me this killed the gesture UI, and I just use the floating ball one instead.

It'd be great if you could fix this @Shanling

Unfortunately our Software team is a bit far behind Google Pixel team and I don't think we can expect any adjustments to this.

I mean it might be useless saying this, but I would personally recommend Shanling team looking into developing OS based on Lineage OS or something... Android 7 is starting to age really bad now that devs stopped supporting apks for Andoid 7. Google stopped updating YouTube for Android now. Who knows when it will be Android 8 next...

well shanling said way back that their "developers" don't even know it's possible at a time where custom roms for different cheap phones are being made left and right
