Uhhhh, I just ordered a new Sennheiser RS 195, I hope the  sync -off will not be that bad.
Will that happen on YouTube?
I only listen or view on YouTube, have no tv.
Here in Israel its   ordered (probably from Germany) and cost with our massive taxes :
2100 Israeli New Sheqel equals :
$557.87  ,   I saw in the USA it's mostly $500.00.

It's a product shipped to israel and  including V.A.T. and other taxes  as well as local shipping to the house.

so it IS quite cheap .

There is no perceived delay, never noticed any at all though the 5 years I have used the RS models 170 and 175.

I am revising my original post, don't want anyone to get the wrong Idea about the Sennheiser RS 195 The Sennheiser  RS 195 arrived a few weeks ago.

Before  deciding to buy the 195, I had the Sennheiser RS 180 and was quite happy but for movies the people speaking were drowned out by  the background music.

Upon receiving the RS 195 and plugging it all in I was aghast to find that the loudest sound level was very low.  Not what I expected  since this is supposed to be for extra help in hearing.

I wrote to Sennheiser in the U.K. and they didn't seem to find an answer. They sent it on to the Israeli Sennheiser rep. where I live.  He called me up and said that he had the same problem and logically a headphone which is made especially for those with slight hearing problems should not be so low in volume.

He found the answer (and I see that it IS also in the manual) :
http://en-us.sennheiser.com/global-downloads/file/4727/RS195_EN.pdf

The factory sets a low volume before shipping.
What needs to be done is such :
See accompanying photo :
simultaneously with one hand press both the audio volume up (+) and audio volume down  (-)
(Both marked yellow)
and with your other hand press
the mode button on the transmitter (marked light blue)
all for 3 seconds.
The sound level is then on very, very high and must then be lowered  by pressing the sound down (-) button until you find your desired volume.

I'm afraid an additional amp would not be too helpful here as the in-built ALC would kick in. Also with the RS 195, as long as you've selected any of the hearing profiles, the volume limit would be automatically applied. Have you tried listening to music without selecting any of hearing profiles?

Hi Solo53,

Unfortunately, I don't have a good grasp of Russian. I'm guessing via Google Translate that you've asked for a successor to the RS 220? If so, I'm not aware of it but we'll definitely make an announcement when we have a ready product.

I was lucky enough to get an amazing deal for the Sennheiser RS 195 headphones. I bought them to replace the amazingly comfortable Beyerdynamic DT990 2005 Editions as home theater headphones (I needed something wireless and closed to prevent sound leakage). I was mainly worried about the neutral sound of Sennheiser headphones, the fit (I have an XL-sized head) and the comfort (Sennheiser leatherette cups vs. Beyerdynamic velour cups). I have to say I'm very impressed impressed with these headphones: the sound is great and the bass is the best I've heard concerning headphones. The headphones have a slightly tight feel to them but no so much that it would be bothersome. The sound leakage is minimal.

About velour cups... I decided to order the replacement cups for RS 185 as I thought I could get the best of both worlds, Sennheiser wireless closed performance with Beyerdynamic cup comfort. Unfortunately, 32 dollars later, I would advise against buying the RS 185 velour cups for these headphones. Firstly, my partner immediately noticed that there was more sound leakage coming from the headphones. Secondly, the comfort improvement was pretty minimal and no way near the comfort of the Beyerdynamic velour cups (Sennheiser velour cups are harder and thus feel heavier). The leatherette cups aren't bad at all and you get used to them pretty quickly. So stick with them!

Having used headphones such as Sennheiser HD600 and Beyerdynamic DT990 2005 Ed. for home theater headphones, I have to say the Sennheiser RS 195 wireless headphones are the best of the bunch.
