I am revising my original post, don't want anyone to get the wrong Idea about the Sennheiser RS 195 The Sennheiser RS 195 arrived a few weeks ago.
Before deciding to buy the 195, I had the Sennheiser RS 180 and was quite happy but for movies the people speaking were drowned out by the background music.
Upon receiving the RS 195 and plugging it all in I was aghast to find that the loudest sound level was very low. Not what I expected since this is supposed to be for extra help in hearing.
I wrote to Sennheiser in the U.K. and they didn't seem to find an answer. They sent it on to the Israeli Sennheiser rep. where I live. He called me up and said that he had the same problem and logically a headphone which is made especially for those with slight hearing problems should not be so low in volume.
He found the answer (and I see that it IS also in the manual) :

The factory sets a low volume before shipping.
What needs to be done is such :
See accompanying photo :
simultaneously with one hand press both the audio volume up (+) and audio volume down (-)
(Both marked yellow)
and with your other hand press
the mode button on the transmitter (marked light blue)
all for 3 seconds.
The sound level is then on very, very high and must then be lowered by pressing the sound down (-) button until you find your desired volume.
