Wow…..

Just acquired a set of. IE900 to replace a pair of FiiO FA9. Driven from a FiiO M15s these are fantastically good. Breathtakingly good.
Driven from literally anything the ie900 is fantastically and breathtakingly good. I have a whole load of IEMs on rotation but every time I return to the ie900 I always think, this is the only IEM I really need. :)

Do you have any Ear Tips recommendation for IE900?
Stock tips never fitted my ear well. S are too small, M are a bit too big.
I am using Spin fit CP360. But always felt I might be missing something!

Thank you.

Currently I'm using SednaEarfit XELASTIC II on most of my IEMs but they are especially good on the ie900 as they have the built in wax guard. These are the MS size for me. IEM tips are a very personal thing though, which is probably why there are so many different types.

I actually have SednaEarfit Maxx MS size for oriolus szalayi. I had to try S, M, MS before finding the correct fit. I will try out SednaEarfit maxx with IE-900. If you have not tried oriolus szalayi yet, I would highly recommend it. Sound is very fun and addictive!! :)

Apparently there is no service available, full stop, for the Sennheiser ie900 models. GG :/

And I just need the pin of the mmcx fixed. No catastrophic failure.

That's really disappointing. Sorry to hear that... I think Sennheiser was acquired by another company (their portable audio section).. Maybe they are trying to optimize profits!

Before I bought my IE900 directly from Sennheiser, I bought it from another seller in Mercari. Once I realized it was fake, I reached out to Sennheiser to find out if they can verify it's authenticity. They had no services like that.

Also when my IE 300 stopped working in one ear (very common IE300 problem). They weren't able to provide any kind of service to fix it either. Had to throw it away.

That is appalling. When my IE 800 S broke and they said it could not be repaired I somewhat understood because it's discontinued. But the IE 900 is still the company's active flagship earphone and it's really not that old.

If they're not going to have a repair option, then the product needs to be reliable to a degree where it can be a 5 year warranty. Something needs to cover people who's IE 900 fails especially 2-3 years after purchase 🤦

Spinfit W1 work well for me. I read somewhere that the Coreir tips work well too.

If the MMCX pin just needs some reshaping and doesn't need to be replaced, a local electronics repair shop could probably take care of that for you.
