Not sure what someone who has no experience with the IE800 (per their profile) is doing in the IE800 thread knocking others choices....
auditioned it for very long. At that price, I am not going to go for it. You dont need a profile to try iems do you?
Some of the folks here do not have access to many iems. Here, I am allowing them to reach an informed decision.
Cheers!

There is a good amount of bass. Not too much, but neither too little. Depends on your tastes, and what you personally consider too much or too little bass.

t8ie has a more full bodied approach to the sound while ie800 is very quick in response. Both are good. Given a choice, I would pick t8ie but that depends on your source and genres.
Cheers!

Hello , the IE800 are awsome IEM, to earing them is like drinking a fresh water on a hot day...i have listening them with many DAPS (Tera player, N6,HM-901, ak240, x3,x5, Lotoo paw gold, Ar-m2;qp1-r) and with all of them i noticed the caracter of the source ,so, the sound of the IE800 is no V shape U shape Wshape is Source Shape,of course with is caracter...i know there are diferent sounding IEM ,CIEM etc but i love this ones, of course tastes are subjective, but in my personal opinion , who says that the IE800 don't sing well have listen  fake ones

I agree that the tonality of the ie800`s is quite masterful. I listen to a lot of gear, switching back and forth for review. A dark earphone can make a bright one sound harsh by comparison as can a bright earphone make a dark earphone sound dull. But no matter what I listen to, coming back to the ie800`s always sounds just right, I`m a very happy owner.

Having owned the SE846 before, and now living in Thailand - found some legit IE800s at a reasonable price (to me). I think they're about $300-400 cheaper than the Shure SE846's here. Working overtime all summer, so I thought I would get myself some high end IEMS. It's been a while :). Even though these are old now, I don't mind. Plus, I'm kind of a Sennheiser fanboy.

Just some quick thoughts - Great with vocals. Bass is solid and bountiful. Treble is good. Would go into some real detail, but I'm sure it's all been covered before.

On the flip side, what is up with the cable? Sennheiser, why is the Y split so high? :xf_eek:

But IEM is for phone right?
I am hoping my phone is good enough to drive it...
