The treble on the modded Pioneer is quite well controlled and doesn't spike very much.

0o what in general quality the xb700 is equal to the hdj2000 !! ??  wow didnt see that one - - and how much more does the 700 ahve than the mod

I'm really going by memory here as I haven't had a chance to compare them back to back...
 
The bass quantity of the XB700 is quite strong, to the point it overwhelms everything else. Test tones (sine waves, square waves) reproduction is quite good, though this is not indicative of actual music. The bass of the Pioneer is similarly emphasized, but not as much as the XB700 so overall balance especially with music is much better.

Hey, mighty fine work on the review! Never knew that there was such a difference between the HD 25-1 and the HD 25-13. You're probably the first person I've seen who's compared both the HD 25-1 II and the DT1350 to the M-80.
 
I'm wondering which headphone would be better for rock, electronic and the like, the HD 25-1 II or the M-80? I've already got the HD 25-1 II, but I've also some cash for the M-80 and if anything, I could give my Senns over to my friend who's been trying to get cash for an upgrade from the iBuds after purchasing the M-80. 
When I say rock, I mean alternative, like Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, A Day to Remember, Fall Out Boy, Jack's Mannequin, etc. I've also got quite a bit of electronic from David Guetta, Mt. Eden Dubstep, Deadmau5, Skrillex, etc.

For those genres I'd say it's a bit of a tossup between the two. You'll get a bit more electronica oomph with the HD25, but I think vocals come out better on the M80. I would choose based on whether or not you need the isolation. V-Moda also has a something like a 60-day trial going on too.

If I were you, I'd at least try out the M-80s if you can find a place to audition them. I listen to alternative and electronica too and find them really enjoyable. I have the HD25s also, and I like both cans for different reasons. They both excel with rock and electronica but the issue I have with the HD25 at times is the lack of soundstage (vocals on some tracks can get slightly drowned out with the congestion) and that's where I feel the M-80 prevails as Armaegis noted with the vocals. The M-80s have clear, natural mids. Better soundstage on the M-80s also leads to better imaging IMO. On the other hand, the HD25 has more energy and aggression with it's sparkle up top and more impactful bass punch. 
 
As for isolation, as long as you're not on a train the M-80 isolates pretty decently. But yeah my HD25 are here to stay since they're great all-rounders and perfect for the train. I hear you on the HD25/DT1350/M-80 killer though - on that note I'm waiting for that circumaural M-100!

this is probably  stupid question but is it possible for a headphone to have REALLLLLLLYYY STRONGGG bass but not too much, kinda like in a car, it has powerfull bass but not way too overpowering, at least if u dont use car eq.

For me, to get that sensation of strong-but-not-overwhelming bass I need the cans to be circumaural. That way I feel some of the bass rumble along my outer ear, and it helps if the baffle has vents that aim more along the outer rim of the ear as well.

so how does the moded hdj200 do the job? I'm actully considering going all out bass head for  pro700 mkii

The HDJ-2000 is just right for me. Good balance between punch and rumble.
 
Bassier cans that give my outer lobes a tickle (that sounds dirty somehow) are the Beyer DT770pro80 and Ultrasone Pro750.

yeah i was considering the pro750 but thats a little too high profile, do u mean like the vibrating feeling, by rumble, cause idc about that really as much as power.. if that makes sense, but i guess they coincide.

Yeah I see what you mean by that, so would the hdj2000 give you that illusion of stronger bass or is the bass just flat out strong

Very helpful review! I was looking at the HDJ2000(with your mod), the Ultrasone Pro900 and maybe a D2000 to replace my HD25, I'm also open to other suggestions. Which of these would best match the treble energy, bass impact and overall detail of the HD25? I trust any of these would give me the sub-bass response I'm looking for, a better soundstage and midrange wouldn't hurt .
