Hi all,

I need to add an audio interface for mic recording to my setup. Currently, I am using the Chord Mojo 2 to listen to music on my Mac (with Neumann NDH-30 headphones).

I am wondering if I should go with a dedicated audio interface for the mic and keep the mojo, or is there a way to save some desk space and replace the Chord Mojo with something like the Motu M2 or an Apogee Duet 2? Is there any interface that would keep my music listening experience up with the mojo?

Thanks!
Andreas

Hi all,

To my knowledge, no, there is not. Where the audio interface does well is mic input and connectivity. I am not aware of any affordable interface that sounds even as good as a cheap USB DAC.

I have a Behringer which is highly rated for the mic preamps but the sound out of the headphone jack and rear stereo outs is completely disappointing.
