Current rankings:

1. i4 - superb once the fit/seal are gotten right, could be disappointing otherwise

2. Clear - as the name says, they're clear

3. LCD-3 - not as neutral and resolving as the i4 and Clear, but the tonality can be pleasing

4. Meze Classics - very good for the price

5. Everything else I own is at least one tier below the ones above

1) Stax SR-009
2) LCD-2 Classic
3) Focal Utopia
4) Senheiser HD800 - Modded
5) Stax L700 (only because I like the SR-009 better - for now kind of a back up)

1. Focal Utopia
1. Pioneer SE Master 1 (Current favourite) can be a little bright/sibilant with some recordings
1. Audeze LCD-3
2. Beyer T1 (order changed after listening with Questyle CMA800R Golden) very comfortable
2. Audio Technica AT-W5000 if it was made for smaller heads this would go above the T1
3. Denon AH-D7200 (perfect fit and great for mobile use in the office with a sony wm1z)
3. Denon AH-D5000 (Ah - I wish I'd got the D7000 too now - makes me want to try the Fostex TH900MKII) need new pads.
4. Shure SE846 (best iem's I've tried -mainly used in flight and at airports)
4. Beyer T5p
5. Pioneer SE Master 5 (a little disappointed expected better)
5. Denon AH-D7100 (great with low output devices like the NW-ZX2) coloured but good
6. Sony MDR-SA5000 (if only they had a bit more bass and were more balanced these would be much higher) *given away
7. Sony Z7R ( the inverse of the SA5000 may problem is that they make my ears sweat) not neutral but a fun sound signature with some styles of music.
8. Shure SE535 Ltd (detailed but I don't get on with the fit)
9. Beyer DT990pro (One of my older favourites)
9. B&W Px wireless (great as wireless headphones go) Noise cancelling
10. Sennheiser HD650 (I'm not a fan sorry Sennheiser fans)

From best sounding to worse (keep in mind that I am somewhat biased toward open back headphones though).
I also run everything through a balanced output unless it's not balanced compatible. (numbers 8 and below are not balance compatible)

1. Sennheiser HD58X
2. Sony MDR-Z1R
3. HifiMan HE4XX
4. Senheiser HD6XX
5. Sony XBA-N3 (ok, that's an IEM, but still...)
6. Sony MDR-1AM2
7. Sony MDR-1A
8. Sony WH-1000XM2
9. Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 Wireless
10. Sennheiser HD598SE
11. Klipsch x10 (another IEM)

Long time reader....First time poster.
Listen to music mostly but do some FPS gaming. I like clarity and neutrality but it is usually sacrificed for soundstage.
Source decent ESS DAC/AK based DAC/AMPs and Axon7(AK chips)
1. Mr Speakers aeon flow closed. Very well researched drivers and materials. Very even and natural, unlike the elegia, lcd2 closed, el8, hd820 they all had uneven tonality. Like really well made loudspeakers in a padded listening room. The slight dip in FR simulates the room effect. Need power to drive properly.
2. ER4S (The reference. Full stop. but needs EQ + Shure olives to shine else zero bass and sibilant, but excellent transient response and clarity. Slight 2.5K resonance) https://github.com/jaakkopasanen/AutoEq/tree/master/results/innerfidelity/sbaf-serious (Thanks person from reddit)
2. DT880 600 Home (diffuse tuned... Mini HD800s with a more natural soundstage once eqed and properly driven. All headphones, regardless of price, sacrifice some sound for soundstage. Open cans less so. These are a nice balance once eqed) https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/brands-a-i/dt880-250ω/
3. HD600 (Like listening to studio monitors with much less soundstage and speed, slight honky mids and source dependant but not as bad as the focal elegia, clear etc)
4. SRH940 (Descent clarity and soundstage in a closed can, once eqed at 8-10khz solid gaming cans.)
5. DT770 (Just a classic  ) My first...
6. Momentum M1 Over (Relaxed but look cool, nice mids and you don't need much highs for exercise)

IEM/Earbud

1. Yamaha EPH-100. Don't use it much but I still thinks it's my best.
2. DIY EMX500. Only in a quiet room.
3. Auglamour R8. Needed help with a KZ cable upgrade and eartips as well as EQ'ing.
4. QCY Q19. Bluetooth that does it's job well while commuting .
5. Sol Republic Amp Air Clones. Fit is not that great, sound is just above average but being true wireless is quite handy sometimes.
6. Auglamour R1S. Lean bass makes them best for acoustic jazz.
6. Triple dynamic driver that has many brand names. Bass from the 10mm driver is the truth. 16ohms makes it easy to drive. The plug doesn't fit through my smart phone case.
7. TTPod T1. Sound dull but easy to drive and will do in a pinch.
6. KZ ZST. I have been underwhelmed by every KZ iem that I have owned except the KZ GR.

My tastes seem to shift a bit.

1. JVC dx1000/dx700
Just hilariously enjoyable listen. Even after ten years nothing can top the combination of omnipresent bass and huge soundstage.
2. JVC mx100
Tonally most perfect headphones I have heard. Previous #1
3. Sennheiser hd800
For it's current price bit of a bargain. More detailed and nyanced than dx1000 but not nearly as enjoyable. Too bright to be called neutral.
4. Ollo S4
New headphones. Most neutral set I have heard ever.
5. Kef m500 / audeze sine

Two extensive endgame lists that both feature the HE-500... I'm fanboying a little.
Interesting to see the K240s so low; in a way I absolutely agree but when they get the music they like they are incredible.
