Just download and installed the update. Listened to Tidal -Andrea Bocelli's "If Only" with MQA then on HiFi and I was surprised I could hear a difference. After reading several "experts" articles about the snake oil MQA actually may be, I was pleasantly surprised at the difference. More accurate decay, more shimmer....maybe bias? Idk. Will listen to other types of music. Btw listening through Focal Elex.

After this update amazon music doesn't seem to be working properly on my r5. While the music shows up at 192khz, the audio is overshadowed by weird cracking and frequencies from the 3.5mm port. This is while listening from my bgvp dm6's. Are any of you guys facing the same issue and if so does anyone have a fix?

Try reinstalling Amazon music and see if it helps.

Perhaps @Joe Bloggs can chime in when he reads it.

I can confirm that the MQA update has broken Amazon HD for me also. The sound is grossly distorted and unlistenable.

Update 1 - same issue with any 360 Reality Audio tracks in Tidal as well.

Update 2 - Amazon fixed with latest update. 360 Reality Audio in Tidal still not fixed.

Well undecoded MQA is only 14 bits, while the MQA processing effectively remasters the audio apart from everything else so there is bound to be a difference one way or another.

Updated today and I have the same issues with Amazon music.

Another thing.. Does anyone also have this? When I swipe over upper part of the screen I gave smearing marks on it, in vertical lines where the sensors for touch control (I assume that's what it is) are. It loos similar like the TV screen when pressing with the finger onto it.
