Hey,
So here's the thing. I accidently stepped on my cable while lifting my head. Left side plug pops out. Can't shove it back in, so I found the Headphile guide on removing screen and pad. Took that off and I was able to reinsert the plug.
Does it matter which way it goes in?

it does actually

you'll notice on the plug that one prong is thicker than the other

this is to avoid incorrect insertion

Figured I would take a look at the other side too and it has the letter facing outwards.

Yup; I found the very same thing when I stood up while standing on the cable of my HD600s and the right side came unplugged.

And yup; letters on the outside of mine too!

...and if we get confused from side to side; it shows it correctly on the smilies!

Since each of the pins are different in size, the plugs can only go in one way. Simply make sure that you are connecting the "L" plug to the left side and vice versa.
