i was gonna get a headphone stand for my HD650s, but with my luck it would very likely tip over or i would brush against it while walking and make them fall...also was looking at a tape on headphone hanger for the side of my desk, but i dont like the idea of my headphones touching the side of my desk when i put them on the hanger cus i dont them to rub against the wood or end up getting scratched or dented over time.
so i took a white tee shirt and put it on the floor next to my desk and i use it as a "landing pad" for my headphones...i chose white because it stands out more and can be seen in the dark, so i kinda trained my mind to never step on the white shirt and also since its soft i feel better about putting my headphones on it. so basically whenever the headphones are not on my head, i set them only on the landing pad, i dont ever put them on the desk either cus i dont want them to get scratched, and also cus i dont want to ever leave my desk quickly and get my foot caught on the cable and pull them off the desk!!!
is is a good idea?
also i was wondering, what causes ear pads to wear out? also i do wear glasses and i notice on the side of the pad it dents in where my glasses bars are....do any of you guys have 650hds that you wear with glasses? what can i do to make my ear pads last forever? what makes them wear out? is it because people rub them on their ear when taking them on and off? when i put them on i try to put them on from the top so they clamp right at my ears instead of rubbing them to adjust the position.
thanks
