This is a cover, I believe. Can't remember who did the previous version though. There are alot of pop-folk folk songs with a similar sound though to this.
Finally figured this out. It is a reworking of Tea Tairovic's "Daj Daj".
It is possible that "Daj Daj" is a cover as well. Tea writes and produces alot of her own material though. So maybe not.

Turbo-folk appreciation. I am not a Balkanite myself, but I really do adore the music that came from this part of the world during this time.
In my opinion most people like to meme this rather than SERIOUSLY listen to this music. I myself am an alternative/metal guy, like music of most genres, but can still listen to all these Balkans patriotic and war songs and feel hyped, wanting to hold an AK in my hand lol.
In all seriousness though, they will never make them like this again, it lifts your spirits up whether you are young or old, or somewhere in between.
