Plug headphones into iFi audio GO link for supercharged sound!

I think it's definitely possible on paper, there's more than enough power listed in the Go-Link specs. I assume something like a BTR7 or even a BTR5 has too much bulk if you're looking for something the size of the Go-Link.

I was looking for something more portable for my K701 and HD600 and I was hoping Go Link would do the job. Can Go Link drive my cans?

Moreover can Go Link be connected to an external amplifier??

Thanks

Sorry, I plug it to my macbook.

Also I am not sure which DSD playback strategy to choose as there is no Native DSD even if Go Link has DSD. I guess DSD over PCM. But I guess should have an option for "Native".

Do you know if Go Link is supported for Roon? And what are the setting used as when I paly i get no sound. Thanks
It isn't listed on Roon's website but it works for me. I don't use any special settings, after I plug it in to my PC or phone it shows up as "iFi USB Audio SE" to be enabled in Roon:

I recently went on a trip where space was at a premium and I didn't want to bring any gear that I would miss if it got lost/damaged/stolen so I decided to buy some affordable portable gear.

I ended up with the Moondrop Aria + iFi Go Link and all I can say is WOW! Affordable and convenient gear has come a long way since the last time I tried it. This little DAC/Amp is fantastic for it's price and size.

Hello MLPhoenix! Now everything was fine with my mac. I guess was an issue with my Win pc.

One strange thing that I face is when I stream from qobuz. When I choose wasapi exclusive the light is green from a 24/96 album which is correct.

But when I choose the Direct or wasapi only the light goes yellow for some reason.

I have set the Sound output from my pc to the highest level and click the two checkboxes for exclusive option.

Does anyone face the same issue?

I will check on the indicator light settings for you, they may have changed in a firmware update since the manual was printed.

I'll post back if there has been a change. Thanks for your support!

Cheers!!

Does anyone figure out why with Roon(Mac OS) I do not get any option for audio for Native DSD only DSD over PCM. And the issue is that I can not get play any of my local files that are DSD256 I can only play DSD128.

Also I do not see any option from Roon for DSD256 option. I only have 64 nd 128. Why is that happening? A bit disappointed that can not figure out how to solve this issue.

I face the same issue and with Foobar from a windows pc that I can only play DSD 128. When I try to play a 256 DSD file I get the error.

"Unrecoverable playback error: Unsupported stream format: 705600 Hz / 32-bit / 2 channels (0x3)"

The dac can support DSD256. And I have set from foobar output. Dac exclusive and 32 bit output data format.

From windows sound I have set to 32 bit and 384000 Hz sound quality and checked the boxes exclusive control.

Mine got bricked with the update, dunno what happened, did the update and the light now is white without being recognized by any device.

Device manager now marks it as comtrue firmware update device

Update: fixed, now I know how to repair comtrue devices yay

Firmware sounds a bit more powerful but is it me or does it sounds way more clean?

As well after today's review I'm using my 3.5 pro connector (balanced 3.5 connector basically), can't tell any difference besides it sounding way more clean and with a bit higher gain but I think it's the firmware

Update2: yeah, no difference with the 3.5 pro connector
Mine's bricked now. Do you have the steps to restore it? Saying it's comtrue device now. Zzzz
