Can't hear it at all, Fans don't go past 600rpm. Liquid delta is under a degree when idle, barely hits 4 degrees under load
Seems like overkill or at least some wasted effort. Gotta up those specs to make your fan investment worthwhile.

Thats the key. more fans and lower speed. It moves the whole pressure, new fresh air comes in.

But damn dude thats a lot fans :joy: ....unless you also have rads in the bottom?

I remember build my nzxt case bigger cause it could not fit.
2 x alpha 360 st30
alpha 240 XT45

...and ofcourse a 1080 - fanless.

There is not such thing as overkill when it comes to rads for me :joy:

I have some 1U and 4U Sun rack servers.

The 1U servers have like 6 or 8 tiny fans that scream at around 18 to 20.000 RPM. It's hard to take. It's kinda like a wife who doesn't have enough shoe money or who broke a nail.

The 4U servers have bigger, slower fans. It's a dull roar kinda like after the husband had too many beers and the wife still hasn't brough the meat and potatoes to the dinner table.

I think there is a lot to be said for bigger, slower fans but it depends how much room you have in your case.

Yeah there's a pair of 560's in the bottom.

Who makes that cabinet with the audio racks? It’s nice to have that flexibility with the racks with a modern look!
It’s a custom job from Etsy. Standard studio rack size, (rails in front and back) then I ordered ventilated rack mounted shelves from Penn Elcom

Went with a 10U size with 8” hairpin legs. Here is the Etsy shop. Louis does quality work, very easy to work with as far as customization goes, at a competitive price.

I’m actually in the middle of re-racking everything now. Hope to have it finished tonight and then I’ll post a couple of photos.

Awesome - thanks for sharing! Definitely looks like a quality piece, and it’d be great to see pics of the re-rack.

Funny thing is the photo you asked me about is so old, I no longer own any of that equipment. GS-X MK2 is what went in today.

I have 3 gaming desktops because I am a weirdo and I collect gaming desktops, headphones, and neurosis.

Show us your keebs

You can’t collect gaming desktops without also having a significant addiction to keyboards

Ton of changes to my desk in the past 2 months.
  • PC temps were terrible during gaming (90's C) so I moved the parts to a Fractal Define Mini C case and rebuilt the RTX 3080 to hybrid liquid cooling
  • Main DAC+headphone amp is now Audio-gd R28, with fixed DAC output to the Stax amp and Schiit Folkvangr
  • Folkvangr sits on an 11x18" metal monitor stand to space it out from the R28, also acts as a preamp for the Schiit Vidar speaker amp on the floor (a Vidar with tube flavor has to be heard to be believed)
Wow which Schiit amp is that? That thing is mental! Beautiful setup.
