Hello Everybody,

What do you think about this new Philips headphone presented at the IFA 2011?

Well, those don't seem at me very similar to the Fidelio L1... Or at least I much prefer the Philips.

The only thing I see in common is that both models are made for the iPoddish market. The L1 has also the inline remote and mic for the iPhone.

Oldschool design.
Grado with HD224 elements and modern Sony mix.

Do you expect also the sound respect this mix?

Any more info like price? I'd say they look sharp might be worth looking into.

ouch. I was just going to say I wonder how they compare to the Cineos 9000 model, but that price range I would expect these to be nuts sounding and hopefully use real metal parts, none of the notorious Philips plastic at critical points. Yup aluminum parts.
I will keep my eyes on these. I love the look strangely enough.
Also the angled drivers again. Awesome!
Hopefully come with a cable that has no inline mic stuff as well as the one that does. Sort of unclear.
Thanks for the link.
Something to look forward to.

These look fine... only tated at 50mw input power tho. What? Doesn't Philips believe that they're suitable to be palyed from anything other than a DAP?

You definitely don't know what you said...

Philips quote 50mW but with 105dB sensitivity

Listening with 1mW to 4mW (105db-111dB) in long term will make your hearing lost.
At 32mW, which translate to 120dB is the treshold of pain for most people.

I actually respect Philips products a lot. I've had several "things" from the brand, from the kitchen through the living room and they always perform very well - and they don't overcharge on prices.

Looks interesting, "semi-open back design".
