Ouch, that looks quite painful. Especially down there in that area where there are pretty much no flesh...

and I actually got it placed so it sits right above my sock/shoe line

the ears look a little off in this photo but that's because of the way my ankle is turned and the fact that it got super swollen... I really wasn't expecting it to hurt this much not that I'm complaining, totally worth it

I must agree...I'm not a fan of corporate badging myself or offering free advertising. But hey, tattoos are personal and if it makes you happy than the pain was worth it. Enjoy I'm still trying to figure my first one out.

I'm actually surprised it hurt. Well, sort of. Both the guy at the tattoo place, and my two friends who got some there claimed it's not all that bad in that spot. I always figured they were somewhat kidding.

Oh well, I'm planning on a shoulder tattoo myself, but I don't have a sketch done yet.

Really? My tattoo artist warned me that it was one hell of a spot, especially for a first tattoo... What I find interesting is the inside of my ankle opposite where the tattoo is hurts a lot, kinda feels like I tripped.

Also this is definitely not a tattoo that it going to do much free advertising, my ankles are hidden under jeans almost all year round.

Your tattoo doesn't go allong with this trend, way to break the stereotype!

I like it, and it doesn't look like one of those tattoos you'd regret 30 years down the road. Enjoy it!

Care to elaborate? I am interested in the story behind your tattoo.
