ooooooo those do look nice ... so i did a quick google search on these e-q7's and found a japanese website for (i assume) pre orders for 26,460 yen = $267USD

It uses a newly developed 'single magnetic pole' large sized balanced armature.

While we always see new technologies developed in the production of new IEMs, does this mean that latest IEMs sound better?

In the meantime, it seems that 'antique' headphones get more loves/gives us much pleasure in terms of SQ...

So it makes me wonder are headphones evolving in a slower rate compared to IEMs?

Not a huge surprise (after the fact) due to the breadth and depth of their cartridge and tone-arm offerings -- ranging from everyman pricing/function to high end stuff (at least in terms of pricing).

Hehe..BA technology is a 60-70 year old technology.
