Do you have link to the aliexpress seller for the pads?

ZMF Ori (104mm) fake pads : https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/3285...adphones&spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.1a1b6c37xq3NfW
ZMF Eikon (110mm) fake pads : https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/3284...&spm=a2g0w.12010615.8148356.18.144242107l2cf0

Quality of the pads is decent, they are probably not as good and symetric (between L/R pads) as the real Ori pads but since i'm in Europe, importing real ZMF Pads would cost me around 80€ (with potential tax) while these pads cost 35-38€.

I actually have the 104mm, they are a little bigger then the oris more the size of the eikons.
I bought these too

They are identical to my ori pads in size but are a little softer. Amazing pads. They do wonders on my monolith m560's
while we are talking about clone pads, i cant tell the difference between these and my zmf ovals. Identical!! (i own both zmf and clones)

I went on a pad buying spree, bought multiple aliexpress pads, suede zmf ori's and zmf ovals

@Noloben do you have info on Тдс-15 Snorry Super Mod ?
Hi,
You are talking about modification of one of the best Soviet isodynamic headphones. Never owned it but Snorry is a reliable guy (I had his mod of YHD-2). On the other hand, any owner can ask him to modify sound according to one's taste so sound depends on each unit. "Super mod" means that he only keeps membrane but replaces everything else - body, acoustic housing, even magnetic system.

Most of soviet headphones are not really reliable (crappy production process, loss of control, etc), but Snorry usually refuses to make super mod of bad units, so I think it's worth your attention. Also, mind the size - I sold my mod because it was too big to carry everywhere and I mostly use headphones outside.

Someone is offering it for sale? Depends on price of course, but most of owners are not disappointed.

BTW, unmodded measurements here

Working on my gimpy B&O U70 today. If anyone has a single spare PMB driver they want to sell, hit me up. One of mine is intermittent. Attempting fixes with conductive paint, but, so far no dice. Might get soviet drivers to replace the pair.

If someone has a U70 parts frame, I am missing both of the little rubber bumpers from one side. Didn't even realize they existed until i noticed i had them on one side and not the other.

There are pads "for" the U70 on ebay and aliexpress, but the design is horrible. The foam is exposed to the driver face, so any bass you had, kiss it goodbye. They're visually pleasing and poorly executed, just like the U70.

I found that pads sold as replacements for the Mad Catz Tritton headset stretch over the original pad frames and work OK. I bought these 75mm * 60mm pads:

These 78mm * 60mm pads look better, probably fit better, and are a little cheaper:

Thanks a bunch for the pads post.
Mine luckily are one of the rare finds that are totally intact still, no idea how.
I should probably grab a set of the ones you linked anyhow.

Was tempted to remove that rear metal square and creatively bend up some mesh instead, assuming it was done well.
Unfortunately don't have any spare drivers or I would send one to you.
Good luck on the hunt.

Interesting idea on the Soviet drivers. Which ones were you thinking of?

These chinese pads are certainly thicker than the original pads. I'm not sure how comfortable they are likely to be in long term use. This is the least comfortable jecklin frame, for sure.

I too have considered fabbing up an anvil on which to beat some aluminum mesh with a mallet until it is the right shape to replace the metal back plate, and cut out the center of the plastic part of the slab.

I got more bass out of my U70 by taking out one of the felt cookies on each side, and installing just a disc of craft felt against the drivers (so there is one cookie, and one disc of craft felt, each side). Unfortunately the left side went from intermittent to open circuit. The fault seems to be where the pin is attached to the middle of the diaphragm. We'll have to see how adventurous i get about fixing it. some conductive paint troweled into the gap between the shoulder of the pin and the diaphragm doesn't seem to have worked. Gonna let it cure and check for connectivity again. Maybe I'll try removing the pin completely - it seems to be glued in place. I don't remember if the other PMB drivers i have had apart had a fixed pin.

These TDS-16 drivers are the ones I am thinking of:

i mean, they sound pretty good in my Echo H16-40c.

If we're talking about selling orthos then I'm thinking of selling an RP18 Kapton :p

I'm gonna be attempting to repair an HE-6 driver which suffered diaphragm damage tonight around 9PM EST.

I'll have a discord call and possibly a stream on my twitch channel going for those who want to tune in and watch. Just HMU for details in PMs.
