I bought it here: https://es.aliexpress.com/item/high-capacity-1900mah-upgrade-li-ion-battery-for-ipod-5th-gen-video-30gb/32226273996.html?isOrigTitle=true

edit:
I found this sell. Apparently, it is the same battery. Even cheaper! https://es.aliexpress.com/store/product/High-Capacity-Upgraded-1900mAh-Internal-Battery-for-iPod-5th-gen-video-30gb/1244250_32226390946.html?ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_1_116_10065_117_10068_114_115_113_10084_10083_10080_10082_10081_10060_10061_10062_10056_10055_10054_10059_10078_10079_10073_10100_10096_10070_423_10052_10050_424_10051,searchweb201603_1&btsid=2fd2635b-b5cd-46f0-b9c6-4959be2a7da9

Thank you so much. I placed my order. How long do these batteries last? Like 40 hours or less??

I can´t tell you. I haven´t been  able to fully discharge it yet. Cause as I plug it  to sync tracks  from time to time and it charges it again fast :)

I´ll test it during this weekend… and I think I´ll buy another one. You´re welcome! Please share your impressions as you get it.

PaulHu -

I thought it was already well-known that the fat 160gb needs a zif cable to work with zif drives?  I believe Tarkan mentioned that they are electrically-identical on his site right from the start?
The issue is the LBA28 limitation with the original firmware.  As I understand it (from my own attempt at a fat ipod conversion ages ago and from what Tarkan has said) that ipod's firmware actually switches to LBA28 if you have a zif cable/drive (just to be annoying, I guess!).  (Which means you have the 128gb limit)

Have you found otherwise?  Or are you using rockbox (which is obviously one way round it)?

Yes you can but you'll need to install beyondwind's patch if you go above 500GB if I'm not mistaken.

That patch changes some of the ata timings to try and work around disk corruption with some SSDs. Doesn't have anything to do with size if the disk. Its a hack but for some people it makes a flaky device more usable.

I am not sure, but i think you don't need the patch anymore, you only have to use the dev build of rockbox, since it now uses what the patch was changing (i think), a new usb driver and other improvements.

is this true?
I have seen this http://www.head-fi.org/t/707618/rockbox-for-ipod-video-5th-5-5th-msata-ssd-mod but the link is not working >.<

OK, test done. 45 hours playing different AAC tracks  @320 (it´s my standard conversion setup)
Specs: iPod 5.5  with 128 GB SDXC  in a Tarkan thin adapter
Original firmware - Medium volume, forgot to turn EQ off so I think it could have gone beyond that.
