Yes Thanks for your thoghts. I have only Black dragon. And can only compare to Stock cable. Its much smoother and sound like more outgoing mids and a more rounded top with a bit more bass. I really like it. Dont use EQ. I use it with questyle cma800i.

@TeamHiFiMAN are playing possum regarding the call to release the He-1000/He-X V2 ear pads for sale, but they cannot continue to do so for long if owners of the He-1000 and He-X V1 continue to make the demand:

Owners of He-1000 and He-X V1 Unite! and demand the release of the V2 ear pads! If you want the pads post your demand on this thread!

Count me in, too! Desparately needing the V2 polyester pads because of severe skin problems (allergy) with V1 velours pads.

I have both the HiFiMan HE1000 and the Sennheiser HD800S cans.   Both are very, very good.  The Sennheisers are more comfortable.....by far.  The vocals on the Sennheisers are richer, and the singer sounds closer, more intimate.  The 1000 cans are a bit more.....well....integrated.

Both models represent the best in sound.........brain candy I think one person called them <chuckle>

The bass is better, refined quality (some say slightly less than the V1’s, but not at all to my ears) without any rumble whatsoever.  I turned to volume knob to a painful level just to make sure and still no rumble….nice!  I’ve also read that the treble sibilance is gone, but I never noticed it in the V1’s to begin with, so I can’t substantiate that claim.  The V2’s are lighter and much more comfortable to wear for long listening sessions, but again…I never really had a problem with the V1’s there either.

I found my V2 to need significant burn in to get the bass to extend.  I ran a pink noise sweep for more than 3 or 4 days before the bass started doing anything of note.

Hello.

How long burn in time does he1000v2 need? :)

Can i put them in a box while they play and burn-in? Or maybe in a tray? Or do they need to be in "free air"?

I have them in my livingroom and it makes a lot of sound :)

I also am curious about the pads, one of my pads is not as smooth as the other. The one on the right is kind of bulky. Anyone else got this?

That does not look right. Talk to your dealer and get replacement pads.

I don't know if this has been shared before but I just got back from Shanghai and visited a well stocked head-fi shop for the HE1000V2.

The dealer told me that instead of buying the v2, I should upgrade my v1 for 3500RMB (USD500?)  I was like "That's a bargain! I will like to do that but my v1 is 3800km away ..."

The price of upgrading v2 is different in China vs the rest of the world. This is but of course. Just sharing.

I think the V2 sounds more detailed and more forward with more bass than V1. Been burning in for 50 hours with regular music. Could it change more in sound after another 50-100 hours burn in?
