I'm bored of my Fiio X1ii. I've been looking at the F.Audio S1 over at Penon Audio (don't trust Aliexpress).
Has anyone compared both players sound quality wise?

Fiio X1 mark I was my first serious DAP, but never like it, was also boring for me. I try Fiio X1II in a tour and don't like me too. I found them with the same boring sound. I like F.Audio S1 more than I remember from Fiio. S1 output impedance is over 9 Ohms and it has sub bass roll-of, but output impedance change Iems FR and bass can be enhanced but with less deep and definition. But over 100Hz S1 is flat until 20KHz. Flat, not boring, detailed non congested.
I also have Fiio X3II and I think is also boring for me. I want to sell it.

But like I said here several times I like QNGEE X2 a little more than S1, IMHO of course.
I buyed S1 and X2 from AliExpress on the same store with zero problems.

But you never can compare Fiio X1II with S1 in terms of build, UI, design, etc.

I've been reading good things about the QNGEE X2. I think I might bite the bullet and order it from AliExpress.

All this positive talk of the X2 is disappointing for me. The only store I can find (Lewis) that sells it, has a DHL shipping fee at $80 AUD with no other options for Australians. (as much as the player itself.)

Personally I've had great success with Aliexpress using Alipay. It's a rebadge of paypal that still gives you all the power Paypal would give you. I'm just not willing to pay twice the amount of money for the player because of DHL being the only option. May as well save up for the Cayin N3 instead.

ordered the QNGEEX2 and Zishan Z3 from Ali X

got the Benjie/Agptek Rocker V2 and have been playing with it for a week it seems to have more volume oomph than my PlenueD to push my TY HI-Z 150Pros and Yersen FEN 2000s
but neither (benjie/plenueD) have line out like the QNGEE so I'm looking forward to testing the Zishan Z3.
