Thanks. It seems the 1k plus iems all wrap around your ear. I wear glasses, so i'm not a fan of that design.

I was of the same opinion......  until I tried the forbidden fruit....    now over the ear seems natural to me.   One of the advantages of over the ear design is that the ear dampens/absorbs vibrations that travel up the cable, so you get less "rustling" sounds as your cable gets moved around

Thank you for your reply. I'm going to the event on July 17th near San Francisco, so I'll be sure to stop by.

If you go for a thin cable you barely notice it over the ears.

Its true. Im a glasses user too. Over ear design just has so many benefits, and a good cable means it basically disappears.

good to know. I assumed there may be discomfort for long listening sessions.

I also wear glasses neither memory wire or the plastic piece on my Fiio cable presents an issue.

These are the glasses, right Wata?

Hey,

Really looking forward to some impressions
The savant is on my short list as I will be buying a new set shortly.
My only reservations were the bass. I am a touch bass headish. That being said I love a balanced presentation with a healthy bottom end... There are many images I could attach, though I think the point is made.
I will definitely be hitting Lachlan up for his ref1too/k10/savant comparison haha

New to Noble but I'm interested in these. What is the quality of the included cable? Is it designed to wrap around the ear or can it hang straight down?

Thanks for any replies ...

Quality of included cable is decent but I prefer my Westone cable carried over from my ER4s.  It just holds its form better and looks a bit nicer and has a nicer 90 degree connector, sound is the same though.

I'm not a big fan of the memory wire bc I wear glasses, but I'm inclined to agree.
Their cable is thick and supple and in no way (other than the memory wire) uncomfortable. It's got a slight weight to it that doesn't affect comfort, but definitely inspires confidence in durability.
I find myself switching between the Linum BaX and the stock Noble cable. Something about this cable just feels right.

as for durability, the cable has a pull strenght of around 150 lbs (think of it as a multifunctional paracord)

I agree with the Noble cable review which is very similar to my findings:

"The noble cable is durable, light, non-microphonic, and supple making it one of the best custom cables I've ever tried."

for me the Westone lays much straighter and more uniformly... i'd have to post pictures to really show the difference.  pm me if you really care and i will photograph both together so you can decide which you prefer.
