If it combines the technology of the HD800 with a sound signature more like the HD600/650, I'll be interested.

it looks ugly to me. i wish more companies would do more of a simplistic design instead of always trying to make it look futuristic and so forth... it's as bad a modern computer cases.

I wouldn't mind a HD600 with HD800 level of detail and speed to be honest...

I love the look of the HD700 it contrasts with the W-series very nicely. Germans have their way of doing things and the Japanese have their way of doing things lol.

Wow! This is exciting news. Let's hope the HD 700s are an incremental step up from the 650s.

Just wondering, I haven't followed Senn. much but didn't they re-vamp their line quite a while back and their models all got updated? This is the same case for the HD600/HD650?

Looks really ugly to me, though I imagine it'll be a huge hit with the 18-34 year old Beats demographic.  Looks like just what they're after - fat and clunky.

Many a post has questioned why Sennheiser hasn't tried to tap into the popular market that the Beats created - maybe this is their shot at it?  They'll possibly hit two birds with one stone by appealing to those legitimately interested in high fidelity who cannot afford HD800s.
