Hi I was wondering if M2 can officially / unofficially support otg dac function with Android?

Yeah I see one post mentioned dac in android working but after that more mention of it. If it possible the more versatile M2 is as I also like to discover new song on Spotify everyday and cache them. I'm using iPhone now but in the future id like to have android phone as dedicated Spotify player and keep them offline after caching to reduce emi interference. I don't mind stacking with M2.

This is good news. Also Samsung s4 and later model seems to natively support external dac and doesn't rely on 3rd party usb driver and quite stable unlike some other phone I tested with my Q1.

I'm sure this is a stupid question, but are you guys sure the M2 is android based?  The OS looks more like the FiiO X5 II and some other Chinese DAPs I've seen.  If it's Android, I was sure fooled...

No Android, same firmware base as used by FiiO and some other DAP makers. Already confirmed by Shanling. fairx is intending to use the M2 as USB DAC with an Android smartphone as transport source for streaming.

Okay, that makes more sense to me.  Sorry about the confusion, I hope it works out for Fairx.
