Really?  I haven't seen any of those...
I've tried looking closely in some of his music videos and live shows but I can't quite figure out what headphones he normally wears.  I don't recognize the brand...

Traditionally Tiesto used to wear Pioneer HDJ-2000's or rather he used to wear them in pics and videos I've seen over the years. Amongst many pro dj's the Pioneer HDJ-2000 has been known for being good cans. If I remember right even Val Kolton, before V-MODA came along, used to use them when he was djing. They're pretty solid cans although theres probably enough people on here who would rip on the sound and class them as low fi. Personally, I liked them and I thought they sounded quite nice.

Who cares whos name is on them, the bottom line is how good are they going to sound, whatever makes AKG money thats what there going to do, they have some good sounding cans no doubt.  Basketball players endorse shoes, and so on, nothing new and nothing wrong with it.

DJ Headphones. At least these will probably be good considering I like AKG's stuff.

I agree that the HDJ-2000 is really underestimate here on Head-Fi. I actually just ranted about it on the "most underestimated" thread.

I love the HDJ-2000.  I will be doing a video review on the Beats MIXR against it.

I'm gonna dust off my SL-1200 to see how the MIXR compares when djing on TT.

That's the trick! I'll get out my old SL-QD33 and join you in spirit (I can't actually DJ).
