Hey guys, i'm somewhat new (i've had 2 good cans before) and i need some advice, you see, i'm on the edge of buying some sr 60i (i heard there isnt much difference between sr 60i and 80i, would like to hear if this is true) but i heard that they don't isolate sound as much as m50, wich are my second option, and that they are uncomfortable, so i'm really doubting if i should buy them

Now, after all of this i wanted you to answer some questions for me
1) Is the isolation that bad? Im worried that it will annoy othey people
2) how do m50 compare to 80i? Take in count that i don't care about soundstage (got ad700 for that), and the kind of music i hear is mainly hip hop, IDM, synthwave and prog rock
3) will an amp be necesary if i pick any of this 2?
Also, if you have a better sugestion, feel free to say it, my budget is <200$, and i want them to be portable

Grados are all open headphones. They will not have any isolation at all.
The ath m50 definitely does not require an amp

Fun sounding:
yamaha pro 400/500
Donscorpio dolphin from penon audio

Balanced:
Onkyo es fc300
nvx xpt100 (portability is an issue with this)
Soundmagic hp100/hp150

Thanks a lot, but soundwise, wich is better, and do you know some other headphones that are somewhat less expensive?

I think the esfc300 and soundmagic hp100/150 would fit the best. Most say that the soundmagics are an upgrade to the ath m50 and fc300 (in the balanced section)

THANK YOU MAN, sorry for asking too much, but whats the difference between 150 and 100? Are they portable? And do they need an amp? Wich one do you prefer? (Sorry for all of this questions, i just want to make the best decision)

They are supposed to sound very similar
I'm pretty sure they just come with different cases and accessories

btw
Are you sure you want something balanced sounding?
Make sure you hear some other balanced (monitoring headphones usually fit) headphones before deciding .

Do you have any store where you can try out headphones? (maybe a guitar center or best buy if you're in the US)

I don't have a store like that in muy country, but i have the ad700 wich are really bright, and my v-moda m80 (broken) so i'm really interested in a balances headphone, mainly because i hear too many things to have a preference for mid bass or treble

Hey, are you sure they are potable? THE review you send said it wasn't as portable as it should be, and it says the isolation isn't very good, so do you have anyother sugestión? Something that is either mid and bass centered or neutral, just like the Hp-150

That was the hp100
Both of the soundmagics are pretty big
