Very very interested in your comparison. The XC's are the only other closed can I'm interested in at the moment.

They're not on the same (or even close) price range.

I don't think price really has anything to do with this until he reaches his conclusion about how they compare. Higher price does not automatically guarantee higher performance, though it does often imply it. Also, I don't see why not being in the same price range should disqualify the XC as a challenger to the AD. I assume he means that he's testing to see whether it technically outperforms the AD, regardless of price.

Trying to find a good combo to drive the alpha dogs...
So far, I prefer the clas db+duet combo for its clarity, separation and overall presentation.
The Theorem is great option too.
Fostex HPP1 seems like need a bit more energy for the AD.

I only get bits and pieces of what they say over there. The writing style is somewhat...unusual.   Semantics, sentence structure maybe.

You're not alone. I'm not an English major but I do enjoy reading anything from Dickens to Pratchett. 6moons just use styles that don't agree with me it seems. Much of it is saying the minimum with the maximum number of words the rest is just interesting sentences. Good photos of internals usually, however.

Glad I am not the only one thinking this.

Maybe someone could try parsing it with SanjiWatsuki's method:

I swear that every time I read Srajen's reviews I have to blow up my mind, brain and try to read his words really carefully, read over and over again at least 4-5 times to truly understand what he meant. But I got him this time, in the end he liked LCD-XC more than Alpha Dog but not really mentioned that the LCD-XC triumph the Alpha Dog significantly so I guess just a small gap.

Gotta dodge all the flowers in a 6 moons review. I got the following:

In absolute terms, LCD-X >AD's but not by much.

In $ for $ terms, the AD is the better value proposition.

My experience with Mr. Speaker's offerings is that there are top or near top tier headphones that are "better" to some degree, but nothing else out there offers the shear goodness per dollar that the Mad Dog and Alpha Dog offer. That is why I'm a fan boy. Well, and Dan likes a similar signature to my preference. And Dan is just a great guy and great business owner.
