Looks very interesting. Looking forward to reading some reviews and user feedback.

I wonder if Simaudio will also go the other way and produce a Evolution series headamp. That would be a beast (and have a beastly pricetag).

I just spent the day at the San Francisco Head-Fi meet (Headphone.guru coverage coming soon!) and there were several <$5k amps in house. An Evolution level one would not be out of place as the market goes upscale.

BTW...Post 7000! Crazy.....

Here is the Wells Headtrip as an example of top dollar amps. $7000. One of a very few equal to the Moon in my experience.

The Headtrip looked much better in my living room

There's a big empty, lonely space where it used to reside.

I have "post-Headtrip" depression, or as it's known in the industry "PhD".

Jeff was very happy with the review. We had a great conversation at the meet.

I hope he goes to RMAF.

I'd really like to put a face to the Legacy.

He and I are going to try and do dinner there on Thursday in Denver.

How is the Moon Neo 430HA compared to auralic taurus MK2? Is the moon better?

For me, yes. More power, more 'musical', slightly better dynamics. Hard to describe exactly.

My Taurus is sitting unused since I got the 430HA - I really should sell the thing, but I'm sure I will find a use for it eventually.

I thought nothing could beat the taurus :) It's sounds stunning!

How much is the price of the 430ha?

I think US pricing is around $3,500 without the inbuilt DAC, and $4,300 with the DAC. Don't quote me on that - you can check for yourself with Google.

Roughly double the price of the Taurus. Not a cheap unit at all, but it does deliver. For me, the Taurus is good, but the 430HA is better.

It also makes for a great preamp for a speaker system, if you need that as well (Taurus does this very well also).
