I remember, and this was discussed on Headwize, there was this cheap ($10 around) line filter or something you used for your power that filtered the power... Anyone have any idea what I am talking about? I think it was made by Xantech or Zantech or something like that, I forget...

It reduces hum induced by ground loops by breaking the ground connection of the device it is connected to. Most times this occurs with FM antennas that are not grounded back to the AC lines main ground or cable/satellite grounds that are also not grounded back to the main AC grounds. However, since many house wiring schemes are "aftermarket" affairs, there is no telling what the grounding scheme of individual AC outlets are, especially in older homes. That's why I bought my house from an electrician!
