I'm also looking to buy the 850 in the UK, looks like PriceJapan or Accessory Jack are the best options.

I'm currently using AKG K3003, now I dont expect the 850 to surpass them but am I going to be disappointed with the 850 compared to the AKG's?

The price is dropping like a stone - very attractive at PriceJapan - maybe Tenso even better.....

Just got my woodies recently. Any suggestions for aftermarket cables which goes well with the fx850? Also noticed the noise isolation is not that good. The person beside me can hear clearly to what I am listening.

Then you are listening to your music pretty loud. I assume you are listening at around 75% volume? Or the room is completely silent.

If you want better isolation, get FXZ200, but it has a smaller soundstage and slightly less treble. FX850 is vented, impossible to get a good isolation.

I have no idea about that. I never felt aftermarket cables make much difference. But that's just me.

Search up FX700 with aftermarket cables on head fi. Not recalling anyone has done it with FX850, but I believe some members have done it with FX700

Some of us have nocturnal cables ordered and some already have them as well as other brands.  You just need to go back further in the thread.  It appears that cables do help.

Ask in the other FX850 thread. I've seen a lot of cable discussion over there!

same here. Isolation wise not that good. Hopefully I will be able to compare with IE800 soon.

Someone just told me that they isolation a little better than FX700 and somewhat on par with the FXZ series.
So it is open back right? But it seems plugged on the back though. how can it be open back?

and for those who own FX850, can you compare the isolation with other IEMs? Thanks
