I can actually see that on your pictures, the bores look like they stick out of the IEM a little bit, they need to be sanded down or cut or something.

Yes, the bores never seem like they are done that well. There isn't always two holes like there is with other dual bore monitors like from UE. On my 10X3, the low and mid driver get a soundbore, were as the high driver gets the little crescent of space around the low/mid soundbore. Don't think it affects the sound, just looks plain ugly and poor.

Don't understand by when you say "it looks pretty empty inside" um....what else is there suppose to be in there? you get all your drivers, some wiring, and your crossover. Unless you have small ears where the drivers JUST fit, then you're going to have a lot of space. I'm actually going to say the more space the better, since driver work more efficiently and better when there's more air to move. (Because the low driver in the JH13 i believe is vented)

My remold has much better sound bore workmanship than my first mold did. Very clean circles with no odd roughness that was present near the oversized treble port of my first mold.

I got mine yesterday. They are *really* good out of the GS-1 fed from an Electrocompaniet ECD-1!

Here is some eye candy.

I still want to know why the socket in the molds themselves isn't made deeper to support at least part of the connector on the cable. Is there a reason why this isn't the case? I know that very few people have had problems, but it just seems like the way it is now that there is a lot of stress on the pins.

I think the holes of the bores should be small enough so that it's impossible to lose the tubes. For sure they should not stick out.

It's supposedly to prevent moisture (read: sweat) from pooling in there.

I can't help but wonder if it's more in the spirit of it's-a-feature-not-a-bug, tho.

Carolina Blue trans? Can they be made without that lettering on the shell that looks like a model number?
