nah...aurvana doesnt isolate tat well.. i could here the tv n radio with this.
 
a can like hm5 isolates better...but i cant be certain its good for gaming..cos i dun play GAMES>

Like I said. You've been given a resource in which one person has taken the effort (and thousands of dollars) to compile a list of information that basically gives all the answers. It's up to you to read, and make a decision. If something isn't clear, ask. You simply ignoring an end-all resource tells us you aren't really serious and what you really want is this:

I don't know if a headphone or IEM would be better if I wanted average sound quality + isolation
 
I also want it to sustain and actually work for along period of time

My personal experience, IEM's provide better isolation due to the way they seal, though soundstage can feel much more cramped in comparison to full-sized closed headphones.
 
If your budget is really only $20-$30, then there are a couple low-end performers in MLE's guide that meet your criteria:
 
Koss UR40
Philips SHP2500
Sennheiser HD201
 
However, if you can afford more, there are much higher performers that are generally considered great entry-level headphones for gaming:
 
Audio-Technica M50
Creative Aurvana Live!
HiFiMAN RE0 (IEM)
