Jerry,

Lisa has me booked for impressions on Tuesday @ 12:30 in SF.
(Ta Da!)

Will get them sent to Apopka via 2-day Fedex, after impressions are
done.

Ok, this is starting to get exciting, now!

Any luck with the EQ technique?
-pleeease, tell me it worked for you!
(I've had an Apple Director of Engineering, and a Mac Genius @ Palo
Alto store, confirm to me that it works as I described to you)

PS: here's a YouTube link for you - A-10 "shoot em up" footage

This technique has worked for me with:
3G Nano, 4G Nano, 5G Nano, iPhone 3GS, 2G iTouch

N.B. technique used successfully, with iTunes (8.x.x) running on Mac G5,
and iTunes 9.x.x running on a Macbook Pro

(???maybe it doesn't work on Windows machines running iTunes??? could that be it? "Stranger things have happened at sea")

I run rockbox in my ipod video 5.5, but most of the times the eq stays flat. I do try to get my audio from a LOD.

Thanks for the PM SierraHotel. Oddly enough through searching of my own before your PM I came across this link which is exactly what you are referring to. Granted it's not the "custom EQ" we all want where you can set it on the iDevice while playback, it still allows you to set a custom EQ to balance for your gear because every setup and taste in music is different.

Thanks for testing and bringing this to the forefront and I for one and am now a 100% satisfied user of iProducts!

FYI, the step I was missing what that you have to into Get Info for the playlist or set of songs and choose the EQ to use. I have large library so it's going to take sometime, but I'm familiar with my low performing tracks and will assign them a certain EQ right off.

Glad you are now enjoying it.
Makes a huge difference - couldn't live without it.
(you can even set a 2nd EQ for, as you say, some low performing tracks)

Yeah I just need to mark those as such. Maybe 3 and 5 stars for each sound...

So much for this then.. I hate using an EQ anyways.

but, you CAN re-define EQ for a factory setting, do a save-as,
and get custom EQ sound on your iPod.
