According to picture below , seems VC will release OPA627 series with upside-down form . If so , we can have this OP without changing rear cover . But should be bloody expensive , especially for this limited OPA627SM version............

About sound of OPA627 series , I believe each OP come with different sound ; it's up to your flavor .

As my understanding , all OPA627 series are single channel OPs , that's why we need 4 OPA627 series OPs (no matter it's SOIC-8 or TO-99-8 package/case) then modify them to DIP-8 package to install in Valoq . Please correct me if I was wrong , thanks in advance .

I like the BM version in my Vantam http://www.head-fi.org/t/778234/new-venturecraft-soundroid-vantam-jazz-master-limited#post_12197471 but I can not say that it is superior in sound than my AU in VALOQ.

I dont know how i feel about opa627BM, each of them cost 85 USD AUD. Just the opamp alone cost 340 USD AUD without any circuit boards. Also  I am interest to know how they deal with power handling. They require to increase the power supply and battery size as they need more voltage to work and they naturally would use more battery too.

Till all this question arent answered I personally wouldn't drop anything on such mods. I knew of an amp maker who tried to release the best of OPA627SM without cutting any corners. He also tried to make it portable. The end result was too heavy and all the batteries he used just made it too dangerous to have it as a portable. He ended up cancelling his entire design.
