I disagree with that. It just adds licensing costs. When the entire world stops using MQA. They already said, as long as there are people using MQA they have to support it in order to not leave anyone out, which is a noble thing to do

As stated, ifi mentioned contracted to do soI disagree with that. It just adds licensing costs.
Honestly, that's their loss. That price should not come back to the consumer. As stated, ifi mentioned contracted to do so

Ordered! This will be replacing my Uno on my laptop, so should sound much better. The colour scheme is very nice - I've got the Zen Can Signature on my main system and I suspect i might like the new one even more than that. Can't wait to get it.

Looks like they already paid the money. I would think that they will charge you the same price no matter they give you MQA or not. Some chinese made DAC that cost less than $100 already give you MQA. So, I believe the per unit cost is very marginal (if not close to zero)Honestly, that's their loss. That price should not come back to the consumer.

I understand the comment
Let's not forget the folks who bought music because they liked MQA, along with contracts, agreements, yada yada yada!
Cheers!!
Your marketing says: "Globally, MQA has become an important consideration for any comprehensively equipped DAC. It is available through for Tidal Masters, Audirvana and Roon."
Pumping Tidal Masters "an important consideration" is misleading. MQA is in bankruptcy and been sold for parts, Tidal no longer recommends its Tidal Masters product (https://www.techhive.com/article/1974696/tidal-flac-preferred-hi-res-format-not-mqa.html), and it is highly likely to go away in the future.
Mentioning Roon is also misleading. Roon can unfold MQA played from Tidal, but your DAC does all the unfolds itself. So Roon and Audirvana offer no advantage for MQA playback over any other bit-perfect playback with you DAC.
Contracts may be forcing you to include Tidal, but do they also force you to make misleading statements about it?

I read this a bit differently. To me, it means "Globally, MQA has become an important consideration for any comprehensively equipped DAC. MQA is available through for Tidal Masters, Audirvana and Roon." (It was focusing on MQA, not the new DAC)Your markinging says: "Globally, MQA has become an important consideration for any comprehensively equipped DAC. Just want to share my observation about MQA in a different region (Asia). There are more and more MQA titles (in the MQA CD format) appears in the market. Looks to me Japan ( https://www.hmv.co.jp/en/search/keyword_mqa+cd/target_ALL/type_sr/ ) and China is adopting MQA pretty well. Not sure if the current event happened to MQA would make this format more easily available (instead of dying down).
So, I think the keywords "Globally" is important here. MQA is not must but a nice to have feature IMO.

Depends on what you meant by useless. It may not give you bit perfect DXD music but it is more like a DSP to your music. It's not a nice to have feature, because it is completely useless.
You can treat it more like DSP (or Sony's DSEE if you are familiar with Sony's stuff)

Does every product that offers MQA support have to turn into a fight about it? If you don’t need it, don’t use it. Tidal is dropping MQA support anyway; it’s not going to be around for much longer. Just savor the victory and move on. For now, I’m fine with DACs offering a wide range of supported formats, even ones I don’t use. We don’t need to have this same argument every time…

Folks, it is what it is, there are many folks around the world who purchase our products (and others) who have heavily invested in MQA, we prefer not to leave them out, and are perfectly aware of both sides of the argument.
While we appreciate these comments, at the moment we are still including MQA in our line.
Not much more for us to comment on, but let's be respectful to each other on both sides.
Cheers!!

I refuse to pay for something I loathe, that is a farce and I will never use. Ergo…I ain’t buying any thing that has it. It is the musical equivalent of “The Emperor’s New Clothes”. And yes, I did a totally blind test of it years ago. It doesn’t make any difference in sound quality. You are the Emperor of frAudio if you pay for “nothing”.Does every product that offers MQA support have to turn into a fight about it? If you don’t need it, don’t use it.
