WOW, this is by far the best "gain" settings implementation I have ever seen in any amp. Usually there are the standard gain settings but the ieMatch is pretty much a built in attenuator to further fine tune the sensitivity of the Volume knob. This is brilliant, seriously.

iFi geniuses- this built in IEMatch is pure brilliance and exactly what I was hoping for to reduce hiss and provide volume level listening near the 12oclock analog dial.

  This matching of the micro to the actual headphones/IEMs used is a REALLY nice feature.
 
What else will be micro capable of doing - the list just goes on and on ?

Based on the above figures, it just *might* be able to support the K 1000 during a typical recording session - provided music is not too loud to begin with.
