Thanks! I actually reused the Molex 3-pin connector which is connected inside the unit to the power board. The wiring from it was not too long so I just soldered extra wires and put them into the shrink tube for better insulation. Then I soldered them to the charging board removed from the original battery. It is important to place that board in touch with the new battery so the thermistor can detect abnormal heat and stop charging.Impressive. Did you solder this in or reuse the connector? Would love some more detailed pictures.
Yeah, sorry, I should have taken more shots of the inside the case but there was nothing complicated with just taking the wires and routing them outside the case, so I didn't bother with it
It is a bit tricky to solder the wiring to the lipo battery terminals though. These are some brass alloy played with chrome or some other metal that can not be soldered. I had to file some surface to expose the inner layer and the soldered them to the wires leading to the board. Depending on the battery size you can try soldering the terminals directly to the board but in my case the size did not match so I had to resolve yo extra wiring.
