Just got a new battery for my DX100 today (awaiting it for over a month), 4 T5 torx screws(bought a cheap set of small torx, flat, phillips drivers for electronics) at each end and the back cover comes off with a little tug, battery is taped to the backplate, its 4,2V  lipo's in series, 1 cable coming from the battery and a wire is also attached to the backplate. Don't pull the back cover too hard as these cables are fairly short. Battery is connected with a small connector on the bottom, as it's a stacked print, screen and so on, easy to locate and take out carefully with some pliers..
 
I wanted to load the russian firmware today, but i dont have any win 7 32bit, have a win 7 pro 64bit on hand but other pc's are win 10 32/64bit..
 
What can i do here? tried almost everything, i dont even get a pink button (1), all is grey and i'm reallysad here not to try it out..

I was also unable to install the hdp r10 firmware, but good news is that the Russian guys prepared similar firmwares for dx100 where you don't have to use rkbatchtool.

It's in russian mode now via the normal update procedure, but after update still says V1.4.2, but i had russian language i needed to change.
 
I thought it would state a version name from the russian firmware - Or is this normal?

Where can I download this fw? I've been having trouble using the rkbatchtool. Step 2 doesn't seem to work.

DX100 is still a nice sounding music player as i had it and i remember really well.
I know is chuncky and big,sound is big.
But i prefer the Lotoo Paw Gold which i think is at the very top out of them all,and is getting even better with last firmware updates.

LOL Thats funny....YES the Lotoo Go?d sounds better....its also $2000! Not what I'd say is a fair comparison. That's like saying my Malibu is great but I prefer my Porsche 911. The DX100 still is one of the best sounding DAPs on the market and the fact that its still being talked about is testament to its phenomenal sound. If you want a apples to apples comparison go with the RWAK100 and the DX100...not the Lotoo Paw Gold.

Hi. Does anyone know how to prevent the library auto scanning every time at startup? It's really annoying as it takes about 20 minutes each time.
Also, has anyone managed to install the Sound Explosion fw using Windows 10? Cheers.

IMO, the RWAK100 isn't even in the same room with the DX100 (it isn't just cost in comparing apple to apples). The DX100 is much more transparent, well everything is better but then I prefer the DX80 to the AK100 modified by quite a bit.

Yes, it is (tested).
Both Spotify and UPNP Wifi streaming (eg. Tidal from Adroid phone to iBasso) works.
Spotify is not designed for a device with so low RAM memory so requires patience / can reboot during browsing due to low memory.
