Noooooo!
The first time it happened was with a week old pair sometime in april 2011 so I just sent those back to denon and they sent me a new pair. Then on this specific pair, it is the second time. First time it happened was in october 2011, left cup, If I recall correctly I was also taking them off when it happened. Contacted Luigi and got the screw plus 2 spares. This is the second time it happens on this pair but this time it was the right side cup.How many times has this happened to you?
Also, what sort of movements or whatever are you doing for the cup to fall!!!
(I've always had that fear for my D5000s! LOL)
I don't mind resoldering the cable to the driver, but I don't see the rubber boot listed as a separate part on the schematic. I'll see if something might be available through Lawton or D & M. I take pretty good care of my phones and it disturbs me if some rubber strain relief breaks and maybe the ear cup assembly parts in the future. I really love the D5000 sound and don't feel the need to upgrade anytime soon.
