Can someone please help me.. I don't know what happened to my 901 everytime i turn it on it always says " Battery empty " then shuts down after 4 seconds. It is fully charged and I just used it for 1 hr then shut it down and now I can't use it : (

Check the contract points of the battery and the player. At first I couldn't turn on mine till I noticed a small amount of residual plastic or interfering the contact battery-player. I just had to remove carefully with the tip of a knife.

Hi, there's nothing interfering with the player and battery. The 1st and 2nd unit has the same experience. I've only used them once and after that something burns inside the unit (don't know what reason). The batt indicator says it's fully charged but then it shuts down and is "battery empty"

I would probably return EVERYTHING and get another set - 901, amp boards, batteries, charger, cables. Doesn't seem right to have these issues or burnt smell etc.

I've contacted them already. Thanks. Kinda weird it happened on 2x 901s a day after the other

Another (remote) possibility is faulty wall socket/power bar....

I think the match in heaven is true for the context of driving a ortho with a DAP or a portable stack. It drives my LCD3 well but nothing to write home about compared with better desktop rigs that REALLY is heavenly.

well there IS hope I suppose...FWIW I actually like how 901 with my discrete amp board drive the HD800 betten than senn's own HDVD800.  But then there are plenty who don't necessary think too highly of the HDVD800.

A single ended fully discrete class A amp board designed and made by a DIYer in China... it's really a shame he is not making more of these as it sounded nice.  I would describe it as a more mid-centric version of the balanced amp board with similar power but less spacious presentation (more intimate) and they complements each other quite well.
