When it's in negative , they are same

Uhmm...no.

0C is 32F.

-5C is 23F

For F to C, subtract 32, then multiply by 5/9
For C to F, multiply by 9/5. then add 32

Since always :p

At -40, C and F are the same. This is not true at any other temperature.

Lol, that sounds more realistic XD

Anyways.. kinda makes me sad that I bought my HE-500 6 months ago at $614 like-new and now there are new HE-500s for around $500.. and even one for $470

Yeah, the pricing sucks if you purchased just before a downward adjustment.

But look at it this way, yours were burned in and the price difference is essentially the premium paid for using them half a year, that sweetens the pill.

Yeah I feel sorry for people dropping $100+ on LCD-2's, they've dropped to $750-800ish for black friday. If they drop much more and there's another good black friday deal, I might get some next Autumn.

Definitely. I'd say it's almost worth the money to just be able to use it for half a year...almost. I really hope prices either peak a bit after the new line comes out and the he500 disappears on the market or something. It wouldn't bother me as much if it didn't make me have to put up an extra $100 if I want to upgrade or just try something different.

If one gets into pricing regrets, one will never be satisfied.  It's just a fact one must deal with when it comes to tech.  Of course, it is annoying the closer it comes to the inevitable price drop.  Grin and bear it

ps..the cover is real stainless steel..on the pic it looks like brownish..must be the flash he is using that makes it more romantic looking..the front is glossy black..
from the pics it looks like the powersupply is HUGE!

the last pic is the filter conditioning stuff i bought as extra..its looks shiiity i know but it will be because of those shiity cheap looking tubes my amp will sound as it sounds... and they will be put on the floor BEHIND my rig anyway..so out of sight..so who cares how it looks..importance is how they deliver..lolz

I imagine that many HE-400 and HE-500 owners will upgrade to HE-400i and HE-560's, flooding the market with used HE-400 and HE-500's.

That's what's happening. There are so many too, so people have to lower it if they want to sell it quick enough--hence the price drops. I think once they disappear from the market it will be "rare" enough that the price will go back to what it was before of roughly $550 IMO

I had the nice plan of selling my he-400 at 70% for 280 once the he-400i hit and received good impressions.  Now I gotta sell the he-400 at 210.

I think the guys who got ****ed the most were the he-500 owners who originally bought it when it was 700.  A full 200 dollar drop.

You mean at 900 when it first released?
