glad you added the winking smiley
3k???
Unsubscribed.
Why would I pay 3k, let alone 5k, for a mere headphone that will make me look like a Chinese Kung fu princess or Queen Amidala?
Same. The idea of a $5k version, just so it can have a cheesy little LE # on it somewhere, makes me chuckle.
For $5k I'm going shopping for speakers.
Speakers are something else entirely....even with 30k you can easily end up with a subpar setup. Not to mention that they don't pair too well with early dawn listening habits, city centre living, litigious neighbours and a wife who doesn't share one's taste in music. None of the problems mentioned can be cheaply remedied
I'm a happy owner of HE6 + EF6 combo,
less than 2.500 I'm in,
more than 2.500 I'm out.
By the way, does anyone could tell me how the HE1000 sounds paired with EF6?
If it's a statement model Fang may as well price it at $6k and stake his claim.
Why follow along the path that is the disease of the ridiculously greedy Abyss pricing strategy? Just because?
Strange. I don't see Sennheiser asking $6k+ for their statement model. Hell they don't even ask $2k+.
People should really stop supporting companies that want to gouge you just because they can.

Actually, you can't even buy Sennheisers statement model the Orpheus anymore and it cost way more expensive than the "Abyss" etc (something like over $15k when Sennheiser first released it as years ago).
