Side by side Take away:
New one has 720p vs old one is 1080p
665 snap vs 660 snap cpu
Class A vs whatever (regular?)
Android 12 vs 9 (I think)
6 hour class A battery life, and 12 hour AB vs 8.5 for old one (balanced for both)
Pd2 quick charge (new one charges faster)
That seems to be the difference. So, I don't plan to upgrade from my R6 2020 to this, but if you are looking for a new DAP for $500, this seems pretty darn good.
It's the same issue on RS8 and other Hiby/Cayin daps after the last amazon app upgrade. Been told by Hiby they are in touch with Amazon, trying to figure out the issue.

It's the same with RS8, I connect external usb dac/amp dongle like S2, and it shows 192kHz. It's the way how Amazon Music HD app recognizes the device, that is where the disconnect comes from
I have what may be a dumb question, but I haven't found an answer. How do you take out the SD card? It sits way down deep and on most devices like this you would push it in again to eject, but that doesn't work, and it's so deep I can't grab it with my fingers. I was going to try a pair of tweezers but I don't want to damage anything. So far I haven't had the need to take it out, but will eventually to load more music and was hoping there is an easy way that i'm missing

Yes, pushing it in is the way to eject it, but I have difficulty with it as well. I have to push it in with the tip of a fingernail, and sometimes it takes multiple tries to hit it just right. Definitely do not use tweezers to pull on it.
ok cool, thanks guys. I'll try pushing in again with something smaller than my finger. I think I just wasn't able to really reach it with my finger tips
