Hello All,

I was re-soldering the wires for my headphones and now one of the speakers does not work. I have tested the continuity for the wires, but the speaker seems to have failed. I was wondering if there was anyway to pry the actual speaker from the housing to see if I possibly messed up a solder joint somewhere from applying too much heat.

Here is the can I am talking about. It looks like I messed up the contacts, but I am not too sure where they connect to the speaker.

Thank you for any help.

There should be a gap between the two solder pads and it looks like they've been connected. I circled it in this picture; http://i.imgur.com/3L4apry.jpg
Try cleaning up that area and then soldering your wires to the spots marked with the blue squares.

Not sure about prying the speaker out of the housing. Could clean up the solder off the contacts and attempt to pry the board out [however this maybe irreversible.]

I did find a few links [though you probably have already seen them about repairing/DiYing the wires]
