In my two and a half years at the univeristy of manchester (which has a huge number of students) I've seen 1 pair of Senn HD25 and 1 pair of Alessandro MS1s and a million pairs of skullcandy/wesc/beats.

I saw a pair of KSC 24's today! Yay!

Of course I gave them to the person who was wearing them so I don't know if that counts :p Weird thing though, I hated the sound, but this fella has been thanking me for two days now for giving 'em to him. He used a pair of generic Philips earbuds before, I guess you don't exactly need the best headphones to top them..

Also, yesterday when I was watching the Road to Winter Classic documentary for the second time I noticed Ovechkin wearing a pair of very nice looking headphones. Anyone know what they are? Have some pictures

Edit: Actually I found out what they are. V-Moda is the brand, don't know the exact model. Shame, I originally thought they might be audio-technicas.

The best I have ever seen is a pair of Sennheiser HD 437's at a Teavana(cool tea-related store). They have them hooked up to an iPod so you can check out their "exotic" tunes that they sell..But nobody ever tries them on.
Also, I saw a guy wearing Bose QC2's at my local Harris Teeter.
Then I walked past some busted Monster Beats "Studio" headphones at Best Buy. The headband was torn in half =3...First, I laughed; then I cried with happiness.

And finally, ...I guess I can't really say it's a sighting; but my brother tells me that his martial arts instructor uses Audio Technica M40FS headphones.

I want to see some hi-fi headphones, dang it =\
