brooko what u meant by it been missed?

He's posted a couple of times (I deleted the first one because it was a duplicate).  He's new to the site so can't post links - his posts go into a validation queue)  By the time their validated. the thread might be moving a little quick, and his post goes un-noticed.  So I'm just hoping the team here will help a new user out :)

HBB - thanks.  Someone else directed him to you guys - so he may not have read the first post.

I'll bow out now - he's in good hands.

@Hawaiibadboy I think some of the pros and cons on the top 10 impact list are mismatched. I didn't know the EX1000 had a bass dial and is available as custom only =P.

Yeah, I'm still editing it was just an example for the other 10 lists
List, pro's, con's, gear, bio

Thanks. I'll fix it. I don't wan't somebody asking me where the dial is on a sony

Neutron player - My personal seduction setting.
Fq 21 g 7.8 bw 2.6
Fq 35 g 4.9 bw 2.4
Fq 40 g 5.2 bw 1
Fq 50 g 4.3 bw 1

Not really a fan of meek mill but this is a nice bass test track for certain frequencies.

Edit: Neutrons recent update now lets you add up to 20 bands for the ocd crew :)

- Needs an amp,no earhooks
*I own this

5. Kumitate Lab KL-REF

+ tuning bass dial, hybrid design best of it's kind

 Gear used:

ifi Micro iDSD (Full turbo mode)

Eq's Used:

All IEM

EX 1000 only

About Me:

Came from car audio and am an SPL freak. I use a iFi Micro in "Turbo" mode which is rated at 4000mW @16 ohm. I use the eq's in the images above. I love Hip Hop but am also a big classic rock fan. The Ex1000 are my "go to" set for their ability to play my 2 favorite genre' exceptionally. If you use different gear and different settings your results will be different.

I love bass and I love mids and I love clarity and staging

Bass>>staging>>mids>>clarity in that order.

Vapman's Top 10

1.ASG 2.5

2.ASG 2.0  and taped MDR-7550/Ex800ST and ASG-B

3.Kumitate Labs KL-REF

4.KZ ATE and XB90EX. Silver ATE and ATE-S do not qualify.

5.Westone W50

  • Bonus entry for non-amping people: Aurisonics Kicker (but don't bother if you amp)

I would own KL-REF if Kumitate was taking orders. I really do want to own it again and try it more. I loved it when I had it more than the 2.5. The W50 I do not own but I have a friend who owns it and I've used it many different times. The KZ ATE is good but the ATE-S and the silver ATE are both garbage - too bright and not enough bass. Not sure the size of the DD in the ATE but it RATTLES like a pair of subs in the trunk. ASG 2.0 and KZ ATE are the only IEMs I know of that have thunderous sub bass rumble that actually feels like a sub is rumbling around, not in a bad way either. KZ ATE-S has actually more bass but it's really bloated & does not amp well as opposed to the black ATE which I have owned 4 pairs of and they all are on par with the XB90EX when amped.

@Hawaiibadboy btw I wasn't ignoring the request for a list, I just don't have 10 IEMs sitting around or even in the memory banks to make a list.  Right now I own a pair of AS-2.5, ASG-2.5, and AD01.  Everything else I returned to Amazon after a few days because I didn't like them.  I also don't have the need or desire to EQ so my list would look hella boring.  Thanks for the invite, though.

 I forgot I asked you.

jmills sent me his list via PM so other folks I asked please PM me the lists as i have to change font and stuff and this thread filled with lists will get bizarre
blink.gif

A non member might confuse a posted list with the main collection in post #1 so to save that confusion just PM the lists and pics of gear and any comments. The list is for new members and general public.

The members lounge has a basshead thread which is great chit chat spot. It could use the injection of chatter. This thread is really for the lists and discussion of and opinions about new candidates.
