Should I get rid of my D7000 and buy T1?
I have D7000 and HD800.
The reason I wanna sell D7000 because I feel hot around my ears after about 30 mins listenning .

What do you think?

To my ears, they are not similar and compliments each other well. I would recommend to try the T1 first if you can but I think you won't regret. T1 has much more balanced and natural sound compared to D7000 but still different from HD800.

Why not all three?

FWIW, the HD800s and T1s do not sound similar. Both are neutral and have great sound stage imaging and timbre....but they do not sound similar.

I would rank them accordingly: T1>HD800 >>> D7000.

But I love all three!

I just got a pair of T1s to review.  I also own an HD800 and a PS1000.

What MH says is true.  Both cans are quite neutral.  I'd add that the HD800 is more open.  It has the larger soundstage.  On the other hand, it's colder.  The T1 has a warmer presentation.  For classical music, I prefer the HD800 for its soundstage.  For rock, the colder it gets, the more the T1 shines.  Really bright, treble-happy cymbals-and-distortion metal and alt rock are easier to listen to with the T1.  For my money, the HD800 has more sparkle - short of that Grado brightness - but sometimes sparkle isn't what you need.  Sometimes, when it's sunny outside, a good pair of shades is a better match.

I agree that they are different enough to own both. Not as different as either is from the D7000, though.

I wouldn't scarifice the bass reponse of the D7000 if you already own HD800.  The tonal balance of the HD800 is an extension of the K701 balance to my ears.  It didn't warrant the price entry for the improvements over the K701 - not for me.

I agree. I actually own the three of them. I position the HD800 at one side of the specturm. The D7000 to the opposit side and the T1 in the middle.

Yes, you need more headphones.  Get them all and be happy.
