I've heard the gs1000i , and i've read here that the difference between this and the previous version is mainly the cable. The guy who posted these headphones said he did a recable on it. Haven't had a chance to here the HF2 but I do like my grados and the reviews from people have me leaning towards it. BUT for the prices I can get here I'm tempted to get the g1000. Look at the prices here !! http://www.headphonekorea.com/ and the exchange rate is $1= 1,080 won.
