zero-ohm output impedance?
I know very little about tech specs, sorry. Do any of the setups i am considering have that feature?
the output impedance of the lyr is less than 1 ohm, and sounds wonderful

they sounded a bit wider, a bit bigger soundstage. I heard it through either a Marantz or a McIntosh preamp/receiver at the store.
I had the MODI/MAGNI combo with the 325is and i liked it a lot, except on bad recording (some Metallica, Chilli Peppers). Man, the 325's are very unforgiving!!!
The ps1000 is even worse. Unlistenable even on decent recordings. Very sibilant and grainy and shrill.
The rs1i does not do any of that

man, they are so light ! very comfortable
but i guess when my other two headphones are metal, it makes sense that the wood cups would be a lot lighter
I won an auction for these headphones on eBay last week. My winning bid was £270 which is insanely cheap considering they cost in excess of £900 in the UK. The seller asked if he could relist, I said no. He went missing for four days so I sent him some messages and he replied saying they'd been mailed and provided me with a tracking number. It turned out to be fake and the next day he issued me a refund. Seriously, if I could spend five minutes alone with the arsehole. Was really looking forward to hearing the RS1. Hadn't really considered them before but am on the lookout for a cheap pair now that my appetite has been whetted. I know they'll not be as good as my Fostex TH-600 but they'd make a good complimentary headphone for acoustic stuff etc.
